Kirby Woodson’s career began in the children’s clothing industry.  She designed for babyGap in New York, then moved to Paris to design for the French children’s company, Bonpoint.  She returned to New York to design the children’s line for Princess Marie Chantal of Greece.

She began Petite Alma as a small company consisting of invitations and birth announcements for private clientele.  After a feature in In Style Magazine, Petite Alma’s growth took a jump and Kirby began designing stationery full time.
